Visual Arts explores a wide range of art experiences! There is something for everyone. All age groups will be guided through the Creative Process used by professional artists, who PLAN, CREATE, & EVALUATE! Kindergarten Plus and grades 1 - 5 enjoy a general art overview featuring a wide variety of hands-on projects using creative techniques in design, drawing, print-making, painting & sculpture. Individual expression is emphasized through experimentation with art's basic building blocks, the Art Elements & Design Principles.

Each class develops incremental skills so students can build on familiar strengths and try new challenges. Studies include critical thinking & problem-solving with fun materials including color pencils, oil & chalk pastels, charcoal, ink, watercolor, tempera, and acrylic paints. Personal improvement is taught through attention to honest effort & self-evaluation.
