Year Summary at a Glance
Reading- By the end of the year your child should be able to read a level 18 book with 95% accuracy, reading the story fluently, and be able to state a complete summary of the story.
Math- The goal is to be able to be flexible in their mathematical thinking. Specific math skills for each trimester are listed on the trimester summary.
Writing- By the end of the year your child should be able to write about a small moment in their life while telling who, what, when, where, why, how, include dialog, and write using an interesting beginning and an interesting ending to their story. Most of the high frequency words should be spelled correctly, spaces should be a consistent size, and periods should usually be used correctly.
