| | Welcome to Miss Berenz's AM Kindergarten Class Page!
 ¡Hola!
Welcome to Diamond Path Elementary School of International Studies! Kindergarten is a truly wonderful year and you will be amazed at how your child will grow, both academically and socially. If you have any questions throughout the year, please don't hesitate to contact me!
Miss Berenz's Classroom Newsletter November 16-20 Dear Kindergarten Families,
This week in Kindergarten we discussed families from around the world and our own families. Kindergarteners made observations on different pictures of families from around the world. We talked about what our families like to do. They created a page in their Special Person Book about their own family.
In math we focused on the teen numbers (11-19). We practiced writing the teen numbers on whiteboards and we also created pipe cleaner numbers. I sent home two pipe cleaners with your child to practice the formation of the teen numbers.
In literacy we focused on concepts about print and learned how to write and read the words we and like. Kindergarteners learned about the period and the question mark. We discussed how periods tell the reader when to pause or stop and the question mark is used when you want to find something out (asking a question).
