“Seek first to understand, then to be understood.”

Hi! My name is Lisa, and I am one of two Speech-Language Pathologists at Scott Highlands. This is my 10th year here at SHMS.I earned both my undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders and my graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Minnesota, Mankato. I achieved my Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) in 2001.When I am not working, I enjoy reading, playing volleyball and spending time with my family.Missing from the picture above is our dog Lola and our cat Callie.I just love being a teacher and look forward to a great year of learning.
One of the great things about my job and working at SHMS is that I get to work with a variety of students. No two class periods are the same and there is never a dull moment in room 113! My caseload consists of students in sixth, seventh, and eighth grade. All students on my caseload have one thing in common: a speech and/or language disability. For more information on these classes, please see course descriptions and links to resources.
