Hello. Welcome to 8th grade Global Studies and 7th grade American Studies. In Global we will be learning about the world around us and seeing how it impacts us. In American Studies we will be traveling through history starting after the Civil War making it all the way to present day.
We'll also be starting out each class with a short segment of current events to stay up to date with the changing world around us.
Global Studies will be meeting on Red days and American Studies will be meeting on Green days. Keep an eye on this page to see what topics we'll be covering.

Since it is not possible to cover all countries of the world in a single course, we will be assigning you a country to adopt and care for throughout the school year. It will be your responsibility to learn as much as you can about the people, politics, and geography of your adopted country, and to serve as our “specialist” on current events that occur there. Any additional activities, beyond the one required on each due date, will be counted as “extra credit.”
