Welcome to Mrs. Wareham's 7th Grade Communications Class!ABOUT THE CLASS:
My seventh grade communications meets every other day on GREEN days during periods 3-4, 5-6, and 7-8. This trimester we are learning about basic public speaking skills, the elements of communication, the qualities of a good listener, and technical writing skills. Each trimester, students are required to read 20 hours as part of their grade. The reading requirement is worth 20% of their trimester grade. Students will keep track of their reading hours monthly. Students have set the goal to read 6 hours for the month of November. November reading logs are due on 12/2. The end of the trimester is 12/4. To receive an A for the reading requirement, students must have read 20 hours by the end of trimester 1.

Elements of Communication:
*We are concluding our unit on elements of communication. Students will learn about the 5 types/levels of communication and will hopefully broaden their concept/definition of communication.
*Students will be taking a short quiz on the model of communication on Tuesday, October 27th.
*No final test was given. Students designed their own model of communication and presented it in class to a small group in place of taking a test.
