A Note From Mrs. Stenzel
During the month of November in science we will wrap up our study of trees and move into learning about wood and its properties. We will have some fun with wood and water as well as building sculptures with wood. We will also visit the BUZ room again to explore different living organisms.
In math we will continue to build number sense with the numbers 1-10. The kindergartners will learn math games emphasizing counting, one-to-one correspondence and number sequence. We will also begin a unit on patterns.
In the spirit of fall and harvest, we will learn about the farm and farm animals. We have a number of big books as well as repetitive little books that the children will be reading. The children will be singing a variety of Thanksgiving songs as they learn about the first Thanksgiving and how it is celebrated today.
