Welcome to AP Chemistry
Chemistry exists beyond the classroom and lab. What are things made out of? How are they made? How do they work? These fundamental questions of chemistry form a basis for interpreting the world around us.
This site should help you in your quest to learn more about chemistry and its place in your world. This site contains links to current chemistry news and helpful tutorials. It also contains class resources and handouts for each unit of study. Answers to various problems sets will be posted on this site throughout the year. It may even serve as a place for on-line dialogue. This site is a work in progress - so your comments and suggestions are appreciated.
Please check my Honors Chemistry site (Honors Chemistry - Meyer) for any review needs throughout the year. It is also an open site that allows guest entry.
Please note that handouts for each unit of study are labeled by school year. Those labeled 2016-17 are for the current year. Those labeled 2015-16 are for last year, but will be adjusted when we reach that particular unit in our studies this year. This will allow you to see the general direction we are heading in our studies even though the degree of adjustment in units from 2015-16 to 2016-17 will vary.
Last summer I explored some additional on-line sources - see attached guide with sources and descriptions. You may find a couple of support sites which are helpful to you.
