| 1 | STEM TOPIC: Life Science - Botany
We have already done a lot in our Botany study.
- We've examined, sorted, dissected, and planted a variety of seeds. Some groups have small plants growing; others are waiting for their slow germinating seeds to sprout. We also determined how many seeds can come from one plant and discussed why most of those seeds never get to become plants.
- We were introduced to the microscopes and used them to take a closer look at a several plants from our school gardens. The flowers were fascinating!
- The students were given an Engineering challenge - to build the tallest structure with limited resources (10 dowels and unlimited rubber bands).
- And of course, today is our Field Study!
